Develop on board chargers for Plug in Hybrid/Electric Vehicles. Responsible for generating and maintaining product technical specifications and their implementation in the design.
Position Specific Requirements:
Design Power Factor Correction, High Voltage DC-DC and Low Voltage output DC-DC for a 400V charging system
Develop product technical specifications
Generate schematics for the design
Develop and implement Power Plant control algorithms
Coordinate Milestone and Gate reviews for specific products per program timing schedule
Job Specific Skills, Knowledge and Behavioral Characteristics:
Ability to organize and plan effectively
Very high level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
Automotive industry experience a plus
MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Must be a demonstrated team player
Non-Flexible Requirements:
Hands on design experience for high voltage Charging Systems
Power Electronics Expertise
UL2202 and UL840 Compliance Experience
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent demonstrated capability and experience
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Primary Skills: Design High Voltage DC/DC converters, Develop on board charging systems Salary: Between 85000 - 120000 Experience Required: Experienced, 5 years minimum Clearance Level: none Travel: 10 %
Other Details: Must have hands on design/development experience of power electronic devices up to 5kw including high voltage charging systems, DC/DC power conversion and DC to AC power conversion.
