A research assistant position is available immediately in the Department of Meteorology at The Pennsylvania State University. The research involves atmospheric chemistry, including the measurement of reactive atmospheric constituents and their properties. The primary task of the successful candidate will be to develop new electronic control and data collection systems for existing and developing instrumentation. Additional tasks include participating in multi-investigator field projects in the State College area and elsewhere.
The required experience is in electrical engineering, computer control of instrumentation, and data collection. Familiarity with Labview software is highly desirable. A B.S. degree in electrical engineering or related fields and/or demonstrated expertise is essential. The salary will be competitive and commensurate with relevant experience and degree attained. This is a fixed term position funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of refunding.
