Sorenson Communications, a provider of industry-leading communication offerings with an emphasis on products and services for the deaf and hard-of-hearing, is seeking an motivated and conscientious software engineer to assist in the development of its internal applications and systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities:
• Utilize object-oriented design, development, and debugging skills to implement components of the system in C#
• Follow engineering best practices in a team environment to develop high quality products
• Contribute to the overall system architecture and the development of product features
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Required Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of experience in Software Development using object-oriented languages such as C# or Java
• Basic object-oriented design and analysis skills
• Must possess good communication skills and be eager to work in a team environment with other dedicated engineers
• BS Degree in CS, EE, or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
• Development experience with C# and the Microsoft .NET framework
• ASP.NET, WCF, or Web Services development experience
• Experience building enterprise applications
• Experience building Web-based User Interfaces with AJAX, Silverlight, or similar technologies
• A working knowledge of Service-Oriented Architectures, Web Services, distributed systems, and related technologies
