Job Description:
-Responsible for reliability engineering at Mesquite Manufacturing Plant.
-The focus will be to provide programs and projects to improve equipment reliability, develop maintenance procedures to reduce maintenance cost and foster continuous improvement.
-Lead the Maintenance Department.
Responsibilities:
-Develop of an appropriate preventive maintenance schedule to reduce premature equipment failures through properly measures, tests, inspects and analyzes equipment condition.
-Work closely with Production Managers and engineers, Maintenance and Production Specialists.
-Liaison between Engineering Manager and Project Engineers in the development, design and installation of capital projects.
-Assist in coordinating the activities of outside contractors as appropriate to maintenance engineering objectives.
-Coordinate with production engineers in analyzing equipment maintenance problems, project work and determine solutions.
-Develop engineering solutions to maintenance problems, including ways of reducing or eliminating the need for maintenance through equipment replacement or improvement work.
-Analyze the effects of preventive maintenance on equipment reliability and maintenance costs for evaluation as a basic for equipment design decisions.
-Maintain Asset Services plant equipment records.
-Assist in update drawings and maintenance data, coordinating this effort with production engineers.
-Provide technical support to maintenance personnel on equipment repairs, troubleshooting problems and equipment reliability issues.
-Assist in evaluation of existing and new equipment design and installation on aspect of safety and environment issues.
-Prepare cost estimates and appropriation requests as necessary for maintenance engineering work and prepare special reports as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.
Minimum of 5 years experience working in a chemical plant environment.
Considered a plus:
Experience in the implementation of maintenance processes and procedures, includes installation and maintenance of rotating equipment.
Experience in creating/maintaining maintenance plans, knowledge of technical objects, work notifications and orders.
Strong communication skill and supervisory experience.
