Jacobs Technology is seeking a Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC) Mission Systems Engineer with Top Secret Clearance.
Description:
The Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC) Mission System (JMS) program is responsible for providing space situational awareness and command and control of space operations. The near-term focus for JMS is to develop a sustainable net-centric environment that enables the migration of legacy space defense hardware and services into a sustainable infrastructure. The ideal candidate for JMS will have a thorough understanding of the mission performed by the JSpOC, extensive Department of Defense (DoD) experience and a strong background in DoD acquisition.
Candidate will have a strong background in one or more of the following functional areas:
Systems engineering, acquisition logistics, systems testing, configuration management, or information assurance. The ability to write and review the full spectrum of acquisition documentation associated with the functional areas is a must. He/She will be expected to be an active participant on a team composed of military, government civilians, and contractors. An understanding of the command relationships between the JSpOC and Air Force Space Command is beneficial. The ideal candidate must have a current Top Secret clearance to start work, and they must be TS/SCI-eligible at the time of appointment. He/She must have at least a Bachelor of Science degree and 8 years experience.

• Top Secret clearance
• Space Operations Center experience (supporting either JSpOC or Space Defense Operations Center (SPADOC))
• 8 years experience minimum
• DoD acquisition experience
• Familiarity with net-centric environments
• Experience working a large systems integration effort
