We are currently seeking a Director of Commissioning. This position will be located in our headquarters office in Lenexa, KS. In this role, the Director of Commissioning will lead HEI's Outcome Cx speciality group and will provide general oversight on all commissioning services provided by Outcome Cx team members on a large variety of commercial building projects including retail, restaurant, sports, education and healthcare. Specific responsibilities in this position will include:
Establish processes/procedures, setting of fees and contracting oversight to support profitable and successful delivery of Outcome Cx projects
Cultivate, pursue and develop new clients for commissioning services
Play a key role in relationship management with current commissioning clients
Manage, mentor and develop Outcome Cx team members
Provide guidance to Outcome Cx team members in successful commissioning project management

Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have 15+ years experience in the MEP design environment with additional relevant experience in actual commissioning services or energy efficiency consulting on commercial building projects. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate success in the following skills and abilities:
Specific commissioning and building system experience
Understanding of effective commissioning contract development (setting fees, etc.)
Successful client management and project management skills
Strong presentation and communication skills geared toward a wide audience, including owners, architects and engineers
Excellent written communication skills
Commissioning and/or LEED certification is a plus, but not required
Other Details: We need an experienced commissioning professional. At least 10yrs of commissioning experience. Testing building systems to the breaking point.
