PURPOSE: To serve as technical expert for software applications and provide pre and post sales consulting and support services to clients.
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Interview and consult with customers in order to gather and determine needs for project deployment. Work with new and existing customers in order to identify unrealized customer needs and recommend business process changes that help customers maximize ROI of purchased solutions.
• Mentor customers to support the new solution deployment. In cases where customer purchases product implementation and support services, this person will provide ongoing consulting throughout the lifecycle of projects.
• Respond to customer support requests for support via telephone or electronic queue. Utilizes internal resources and/or knowledge-based tools to diagnose and resolve technical and process issues. Document support issues in CRM system.
• Develop and conduct professional product training in small and large forums, in our training labs or on customer sites, in person and via web casts, to accelerate customer adoption.
• Develop, contribute to and implement detailed customer deployment plans (i.e. Statement of Work / Implementation Action Plan). Play a key role in further developing current accounts by identifying complete solutions to meet additional unrealized customer needs.
• Recommend best practices for solutions to meet customer business needs. May configure existing company products to ease the process change and adjustment required to ensure pilot project success.
• Provide customer feedback, documentation and work samples to product management teams on quality, usability, content and feature requests for ongoing product improvement or feature prioritization.
• Help to identify key customer pain points with product implementations and clearly communicates them to appropriate sales and technical team members..
• May also direct work or create work schedules on assigned projects
• Provide topics, outlines, scripted documents and dataset for marketing department
JOB REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with major study in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of three to five years industry related experience. Experience with Revit MEP required. Experience with implementations and cad standard creation preferred.
License/Certification: Valid Driver’s License and access to vehicle based on travel requirements. Within first year of employment obtain current Microdesk technical support certification, PSE for supported Applications, Certified Expert user certification from Autodesk on supported applications.
RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: knowledge of and practical experience with Autodesk software, knowledge of current computer hardware and software developments, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and clients, ability to connect with people, consultative approach, ability to lead a team to develop and deliver projects for acceptance and get into production within cost/schedule constraints, strong understanding of workflow process between architects and engineers, CAD management experience is desirable, must be willing to become an expert in the use of Building Information Modeling products, ability to work in a team of technical personnel, sales people, project managers, ability to meet deadlines, initiative and ability to drive decisions and get closure on recommendations and issues, excellent communication and presentation skills, able to travel up to 50% of the time and enjoy working with diverse groups of people with widely variable technical skills.
