JOB SUMMARY:
Serve as a principal engineering authority within Performance Engineering.
Perform image quality analysis on satellite imaging systems. Provide technical oversight for the characterization and quality assurance of complex imaging systems including image acquisition, image processing and product processing.
Perform subsystem definition, detailed design, implementation, integration and test for calibration systems and image quality assessment tools. Strong algorithm development skills are preferred. May serve as team lead for engineering projects.
Prepare portions of technical proposals and specifications. Support development and review of system, software and hardware requirements for new imaging systems. Represent the organization in review of contractor designs and implementations. Participate and lead Integrated Product Teams to coordinate and resolve issues between multi-discipline groups.
Brief internal and external customers on technical topics. Brief potential customers on company capabilities.

Education Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) preferred. Preferred disciplines include Engineering, Math, geodesy, photogrammetry and remote sensing. MS desired. N/A
Experience Ten years of related experience is desired. Five years experience in quantifying image quality and characterizing imaging systems preferred. N/A
Computer Experience Strong computer skills in MS Office applications and a scientific programming language is preferred. N/A
